This festive Green Sherbet Float aka Lime Sherbet Float recipe is made with lime sherbet, Sprite and some sparkly sprinkles. If you’re looking sherbet ideas or sherbet and sprite drink recipes, here ya go! Make this one for St. Patrick’s Day!
What is a sherbet float?
A sherbet float is just like a Coke float or a Root Beer float. You add scoops of ice cream, or in this case, sherbet, to a glass/cup. Then you pour your “soda” on top of the sherbet. The soda makes the ice cream/sherbet “float”.
Now, in this float, I did not pack the sherbet. Unlike my Root Beer floats. I pack the ice cream so when I get to the bottom, it’s still creamy and not mostly soda. If you like it like that, up the measurement on the sherbet.
What is lime sherbet made of?
“Sorbet or sherbet is a frozen dessert made from sugar-sweetened water with flavoring – typically fruit juice, fruit purée, wine, liqueur or honey. The terminology is not settled, but generally sorbets do not contain dairy ingredients, while sherbets do.” Wikipedia
