How do you make something wrapped in bacon?

Wrap a slice (or half a slice) around your food. Use toothpicks to hold the bacon on, if need be. Bake in the oven 400° 15-20 minutes, checking halfway through and turning if need be. Bake until the bacon reaches the crispiness you desire.

Can you partially cook bacon?

You can partially cook bacon ONLY if you plan on cooking the rest of the way later. In the bacon fries recipe, I partially cook the bacon (for the bacon fries) and then wrap it around the fries because the fries wouldn’t take as long and would either be too crispy or burn.

Bacon fries are good as snacks, appetizers or side dishes. I think they would go great with my Bacon Fried Onion Cheeseburger.  I must be on a bacon kick. Wait………I’m always on a bacon kick.
