Cinnamon Sugar Waffles

Cinnamon Sugar Waffles is an easy way to spice up your waffles. Just add cinnamon and sugar, cook in waffle maker, serve. That simple.

Top image shows a waffle with butter and syrup with a few sliced bananas on top. The bottom image shows the ingredients used, batter and cimmamon/sugar mix.

Is pancake mix the same as waffle mix?

Good question since this recipe calls for waffle batter. The batters are very much alike. Waffle batter typically has more sugar. This helps the “carmelization” when cooking. Pancake batter has a bit more “fat”. This creates the “crispiness” on the outside.

What can you add to waffles?

  • Berries (like blueberries, strawberries, etc.)
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Cinnamon Chips
  • Cinnamon and Sugar (like I did here)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cocoa
  • Nuts

Can Cinnamon Sugar Waffles be reheated?

For refrigerated waffles. If you have a toaster oven of any kind, may I suggest you use it. Set the toaster oven on medium-low to medium to see if that’s enough. If not, wrap them in a paper towel and reheat in the microwave for 45-60 seconds.

For frozen waffles. In the toaster oven, up the setting to medium-high to reheat. In the microwave, wrap them in a paper towel, heat for 60 seconds, then flip and heat another 30-45 seconds. If not enough, keep repeating at 15 second intervals.

  1. Hello,

Cinnamon is great on a lot of desserts. When I was in the
home made ice cream biz, we put cinnamon in with the
hot fudge and our customers absolutely loved it.

    Thanks for sharing
