CheesyOs = made up word. I am on the hunt for some snacks to keep me from eating too much candy. It always starts this time of year. The candy comes out for Halloween and stays out after Christmas. We have 3 holidays in a row that come with sweets. How’s a girl to survive? I made Cheesyos and they actually helped.
Here’s my first discovery. I can’t say it’s healthy healthy, but it’s much better than sweets, right? I’m getting my whole grain from the Cheerios and my dairy from the butter and parmesan cheese. So, let’s say it’s healthi-er! I’m good with that.
It’s very easy to make, doesn’t take much time at all and you end up with 5 cups of it. This would make a great after school snack or a late night snack if you’re like me and get the munchies later in the evening when you shouldn’t have them.
While I was making this, me and my brain got to thinking…If you don’t like parmesan, you could use a different type of cheese. Maybe a popcorn seasoning, like nacho cheese or white cheddar. Or maybe you could skip the cheese all together and just use some of your favorite seasoning. It’s better than you think. I’m munching on it right now.
