What can I do with old Cheerios?
Make cereal treats with them, cereal bars (chocolate/marshmallows), Cheerios snack mix, or use in lieu of bread crumbs
Can you color Cheerios?
Yes. In a sealable baggie, add your choice of food coloring and 2 tsp of water. Add the cheerios in and shake well. Pour onto parchment paper and let dry.
What is in Cheerios snack mix?
In this Cheerios snack mix, all I used is Cheerios, of course, butter and Parmesan cheese. If you don’t like Parmesan cheese, try some popcorn seasoning, like White Cheddar or Nacho cheese flavor.

Cheerios Snack Mix
Equipment
- 9×13 Baking dish
Ingredients
- 5 Cups Cheerios
- 1/3 Cup Butter
- 1/3 Cup Parmesan, Shredded Optional
- 1/3 Cup Parmesan, Grated
Instructions
- Heat oven to 300°.
- In oven, Melt the butter in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Stir in shredded Parmesan. If you aren't using the shredded, skip this step.
- Stir in cheerios and grated Parmesan.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Stir. Let cool 5-10 minutes.
