Alfredo Lasagna for those who love Alfredo or, those who can’t have tomato sauce but love lasagna!!
Updated 05/09/2020

This Alfredo Lasagna turned out great. I used the minimum sauce/meat combo. However, you can double up if you want yours meatier. Check my notes below on the recipe.
So, what is the actual definition of Lasagna? The dictionary states it is 1 – pasta in the form of broad often ruffled ribbons and 2 – a baked dish containing layers of boiled lasagna, and usually cheese, a seasoned sauce of tomatoes, and meat or vegetables.
How many layers should lasagna have?
Typically, most lasagna have 2 layers, but you can have as many layers as you like.
What is the difference in lasagna and lasagne?
Not sure if you have ever seen it written as “lasagne”. I have and it triggered me to Google it. Lasagne is plural for lasagna. Now you know.
Can you freeze Alfredo Lasagna?
Yes. You can freeze the completed dish up to 2 months in the freezer. To reheat, move the frozen lasagna to the refrigerator until thawed. Bake in the oven @ 375° for 30-40 minutes. Check it at the 30 minute mark.
I made mine with this Alfredo Sauce. As I mention below, you can use sauce in a jar if you desire. It’s all about cooking smarter, not harder in some of our cases.

Alfredo Lasagna
Equipment
- 9x13 Casserole Dish
Ingredients
- 8-10 Cups Alfredo Sauce Your choice, homemade or store bought.
- 1 Lb Ground Beef
- 1/4 Cup Minced Onions
- 1 Box - 9oz Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles **Won't need the entire box
- 2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
- If you need to make the Alfredo Sauce, I would start right now. Mine was already made. See above for a link to it, if you would like to make the same.

- Brown the ground beef with the minced onions.

- Preheat oven to 375° about now.
- Drain the meat.

- Mix the drained ground beef with your Alfredo Sauce.

- Grease 9x13 casserole dish.
- Add a thin layer on the bottom of your casserole dish. Approximately 1 cup. Add 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese. **See notes below.

- Add 2 lasagna noodles.

- Repeat 2 more times, ending up with the remaining mixture and cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake 30-35 minutes (depending on your oven).

- Remove from oven. Check lasagna noodles to make sure they are soft. If not, put back in oven in 5 minute increments. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
