Sausage and Potato Skillet

Sausage and Potato Skillet is a quick and easy throw together skillet meal. In just less than 30 minutes, you can have this meat and potato combo that everyone will love. If you want, you could throw in some color with green onions or mushrooms if that’s your thing I would have liked to have had some green onions in this, but it was a “on the fly” idea and I didn’t have any on hand. Maybe next time.

Very Few Ingredients Needed
I usually tell you what you need for my recipes right here, but I think it’s pretty obvious. I’ll say it anyway so there’s no confusion….you’ll need potatoes and sausage. I used Russet potatoes and turkey sausage and fried it up in some extra virgin olive oil. We topped it with shredded cheddar cheese, but that’s totally optional.

What was the last dish you made that was “on the fly”?

Sausage and Potato Skillet
Equipment
Ingredients
- 3 Russett Potatoes, Large

- olive oil
- Seasoning, if desired
Instructions
- Preheat oil in a skillet (about 1/3″ deep) on medium to medium high heat.
- Peel and dice potatoes.
- Place diced potatoes in heated oil and season, if desired. Add seasoning, if desired. I used celery salt, pepper and onion powder. Cook for about 10 minutes, covered.
