But here’s the best news of all…these can be made ahead of time and frozen. Then just heat them up as you need them. Got a teenager? They can pop one or two of these in the microwave when they get home from school as an afternoon snack.

You could have nachos on the side, or maybe mexican corn, tacos, mexican rice, fajitas or even a salad. There are many options to customize your own bean burrito.
What is in the traditional Mexican burrito?
The main ingredients in a Mexican bean burrito is the flour tortilla, a meat filling, beans, and salsa. From there, the sky is the limit. Add cheese, guacamole, avocados, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, jalapenos, hot sauce, sour cream, or whatever your heart desires. Add all of that or just one or two of those ingredients.
What is the best cheese for burritos?
You want to choose a mild cheese such as, Monterey Jack or Cheddar to go on your bean burrito.

Easy Bean Burritos
Equipment
Ingredients
- 6 Tortillas, flour
- 16 Oz Refried Beans
- 6 Tbsp Vegetable Oil Could use Avocado Oil or Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 Cups Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
Instructions
- Heat about 1-2 Tbsp of vegetable oil in a skillet on medium high heat.
- Place a tortilla in pan and allow to cook (slightly brown) on one side. About 2 Minutes. Flip.

- While the other side is cooking, place about 2 spoonfuls of refried beans down the middle.

- Top with 1/4 cup cheese. (use more if desired)

- Fold each side in. (See pic)

- Remove from heat. Top with desired toppings.
