What is the difference between apple cobbler and apple crisp?

A crisp is a dessert made with fruit and a topping of oats, flour sugar, butter and sometimes nuts. A cobbler is a fruit dessert with a “cobbled” biscuit-style topping.

What apples are best for apple crumble?

I used apple pie filling for this Apple Cobbler Cake, however, if you want to use fresh apples (in lieu of pie filling), some of the best are Honeycrisp, Braeburn, and Pink Lady.

Do you have to refrigerate Apple Dump Cake?

You can leave a baked dump cake at room temp for 1-2 days. Whereas, in the fridge, it will last 3 or so days. So, I choose to refrigerate and heat up in the microwave when ready to eat again.

  1. I’m looking forward to trying this. I’m a big fan of baked apple desserts. You recommend ice cream or whipped cream, but what about a warm vanilla custard? Do you think that would work well with a cobbler?
