Turkey Alfredo with Angel Hair Pasta

I was originally suppose to make this Turkey Alfredo with Angel Hair Pasta when my daughter and her 5 kids were visiting. But change of plans, it didn’t happen. So, while here all by my little lonesome, I had to make it with no one to feed. Thought it was going to go to waste. But, alas, my daughter in law stopped by with her brother and two of my grandsons to invite me to dinner. And I had just prepared this. Worked out perfectly and I didn’t have to eat on it for a week or waste it. My grandsons only wanted the pasta, thinking they wouldn’t like the sauce. Turns out they were wrong after their mother got them to try it. They ALL loved the sauce.

I adjusted the recipe a little when I knew I wasn’t cooking for 8. So this one feeds 4, or 5 with 2 smaller appetites. All 5 of us were satisfied when we were done.
Ground Turkey instead of Beef or Chicken
Instead of using beef or chicken, I decided to use up my ground turkey. If you haven’t read already, I don’t like to have that much red meat in my diet, so I substitute chicken and turkey quite often. But don’t get me wrong, I still eat red meat, just limited.

I did not make my homemade Alfredo sauce, but instead used a store bought jar of Alfredo. You can always do that and spice it up, either the meat or with the sauce. I think store bought Alfredo and spaghetti sauce is plain or just not how I like my sauce.
You will need ground turkey, some seasoning, and Alfredo sauce. Boil up some angel hair pasta, and you have a meal. Serve with some Pull Apart Cheesy Bread.
Do you like store bought Alfredo sauce or Spaghetti sauce?

Turkey Alfredo with Angel Hair Pasta
Equipment
- Sauce Pan
Ingredients
- 1.25 Lbs Ground Turkey
- 1 Tsp Lawry’s Seasoning Salt
- 1 Tsp Parsley
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- 2 Tsp Dried Onions
- 2 Jars (14.5 oz) Alfredo Sauce
- 1 Lb Angel Hair Pasta
Instructions
- Preheat skillet to medium high heat. Bring 4 quarts of water in a stock pot to a boil.
- In the skillet, add the ground turkey, Lawry’s, parsley, onion powder and dried onions. Cook for about 10 minutes or until done.

- Drain meat, if necessary. Turkey doesn’t have as much fat as beef. I didn’t have to drain mine. Turn heat down to medium.

- Put pasta in boiling water. Boil 4-5 minutes.

- Add Alfredo sauce to turkey and let cook on medium while pasta is cooking.

- Drain pasta. And pour back into pot or serving dish.

- To make your plate. Add about 1 1/2 cups of pasta (don’t really have to measure). Pour 1 1/2 to 2 cups of Turkey Alfredo Sauce on top. Garnish with fresh parsley.
