Peanut Butter Captain Crunch Treats

Peanut Butter Captain Crunch Treats

Kinda looks like there are ants on the Peanut Butter Captain Crunch Treats.  When my daughter got up and saw these after I made them, she thought the little chocolate sprinkles were ants.  I’m wondering if maybe instead of the chocolate sprinkles, I should have used chocolate syrup or more colorful ones anyway.

This is a take on the classic Rice Krispy Treats.  I just alternated the rice krispies for peanut butter Captain Crunch cereal.  I love peanut butter better.  Don’t judge me.

You can make these for a yummy breakfast or an after school treat.  I know kids will love these as much as me. Right?

All you need is cereal, marshmallows, butter, toppings (if desired) and cooking spray. That’s it.  Set it and forget it!

  • Microwave marshmallow and butter just until the marshmallows start to melt. I have a high powered microwave and 1 minute was fine. The marshmallows will melt a little more as your stirring them.
  • Pour melted marshmallows over cereal and mix well.
