~BobbiBananas Foster Upside Down Bundt Cake

I’ve been dying to make something with Bananas Foster. This is what I came up with. A Bananas Foster Upside Down Bundt Cake. Instead of making a cake and THEN pouring the Bananas Foster on top of it, I cooked it all together. I did cheat, like usual, and I used a store bought cake mix that I added my secret ingredient in. I love the look of this cake, don’t you?
What is Bananas Foster?
And, instead of using dark rum, I changed it up a bit (cuz that’s how I roll) and I used Spiced Rum instead. If you don’t like the taste of Spiced Rum, then alternate that for the Dark Rum. Most people, in fact, almost all people who make Bananas Foster use Dark Rum.

This is one of those recipes that is a little more intricate than I usually make, but hey, gotta have those every now and then, right? Plus, I love setting my food on fire and I don’t get to do that very often. In fact, very rarely do I get to do that.
How hard is it?
What you’ll need to do is make the sauce, pour it over the sliced bananas. And you can actually cook the bananas into the sauce, by the way. Then make your cake mix and pour it over the Bananas Foster. Bake it and you’re done. Seems like a lot of work, but only took me about 15 minutes.
Have you ever made Bananas Foster? If so, how did you serve it?
Some other cake ideas if you want a little easier…
