You’ve heard of Parmesan Chicken, right?  Well, this is Parmesan Tilapia Fish.  Tastes great and you’re getting the healthiness of fish.  Have you ever had a time that all you craved was fish? I have been on a fish kick lately and really craving it.  I know it’s my bodies way of telling me I need a certain nutrient.  In this case, at least when I satisfy my craving, I’m eating good.  Not so great when I crave chocolate or sugar.

Tilapia is high in protein. It is high in Omega 3 fatty acids. And it has Magnesium and Vitamin Bs. Fish also contains Vitamin A, Vitamin D and phosphorus, plus more. In other words, Tilapia or fish is good for you and if you crave it…..EAT IT!!

With this recipe, it’s easy peasy and not at all greasy.  Ha!  I used the same “crust” I would for Parmesan Chicken.  Mayo, Parmesan Cheese, bread crumbs and seasoning, if desired.  Bake it in the oven about 18-25 minutes.  See?  Another easy recipe.  Takes hardly any time at all.  This made 6 filets, but I counted 2 per serving.  You could possibly feed more than 3.  I only could eat one filet with my meal.  I served these with carrots and my dinner rolls.

Parmesan Tilapia Fish

Equipment

  • 9 x 13 Baking Sheet

Ingredients

  • 6 Tilapia Filets
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonaisse
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 4 Tbsp Bread Crumbs
  • Seasoning of your choice
  • Aluminum Foil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Combine mayo and cheese in a small bowl. Add seasonings if desired.
  • Place filets on a cooking sheet with foil covering the bottom and extra to cover the top.
  • Spread mayo/cheese mixture over filets.

  • Sprinkle the bread crumbs on top of each filet.
  • Cover with your extra foil and seal around the edges.
  • Bake @ 350° for 18-25 minutes or until fish filets are flaky.
