Cast Iron Skillet Steaks

I’m usually one to only like steaks cooked on a grill. But I tried these Cast Iron Skillet Steaks.
I usually don’t like the taste of an oven or pan cooked steak. Anyone else with me on that? You could say I’m very picky when it comes to my steaks. You’ll see.
Cast Iron Skillets
Anyhoo…I have liked a few cooked on a cast iron skillet. Cast iron skillets hold flavors. When you cook anything on one, you are also getting the seasoning from the skillet in addition to what you add to your steak. Skillets make food tastier.

You can use my seasoning mix or come up with your own, or better yet, use one that has already been made. There are certain spices, like garlic, that I can’t eat, so I usually have to create my own blends.
These steaks
About these steaks. First, not my choice of steak. I let my daughter pick…she prefers sirloin, I don’t. I would have chosen a T-Bone or New York Strip Steak. But sometimes, I am nice and I let her pick. She also went for thin. Not sure on that one, but it obviously didn’t take as long to cook. I cooked these to be well done as she wished. Adjust the time accordingly if you like them less done than that. I like medium well myself.

Like I said earlier, I’m very picky about my steaks. Are you picky with your steaks?
